Located in Williamson County, Brentwood is home to more than 45,000 people. As a suburb of Nashville, it’s considered part of the Nashville metropolitan area. The origins of what would become Brentwood go back to the late 18th century.
After the end of the Civil War, the large plantations were replaced with a series of smaller farms. Over time, tobacco became the crop of choice, and helped the area to rebound as the 20th century arrived.
